Watt VPN ("the App", "we", "us") is operated by an Independent Developer. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding your data when you use the Watt VPN mobile application and related services.
By using the App you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
The VPN is designed so that your encrypted traffic passes through our servers without being inspected, recorded, or shared with third parties.
To operate user accounts and subscriptions, we may store:
For each account we keep an aggregated byte counter (used / limit) so that data caps can be enforced and statistics shown to you. This counter is not tied to specific destinations or timestamps.
Our servers temporarily process minimal connection metadata (e.g. source IP for the duration of an active session) needed to establish a TCP connection. This metadata is not persisted to logs and is discarded when the connection closes.
The App may collect anonymous crash reports and performance diagnostics through Firebase or similar services. These reports do not include personal information or browsing data.
Used to verify Google / Apple sign-in tokens. Firebase processes authentication data according to its own privacy policies. We receive only your Firebase user ID and (optionally) email and display name.
Used to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat processes purchase information to validate and synchronize subscriptions. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
All payments are processed by the respective stores. We do not collect, see, or store any payment card information.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Information may be shared only with the third-party services listed above (Firebase, RevenueCat, payment platforms) strictly to operate the App.
We may disclose information if required by valid legal process — however, given our no-logs design, the data we are technically able to provide is limited to account metadata.
We retain account information only for as long as your account is active.
Aggregated traffic counters reset on a daily basis and are not stored historically beyond what is needed to enforce free-tier limits.
You may delete your account at any time:
When you delete your account we remove:
Important: deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription billed by Google Play or the App Store. You must cancel the subscription in the store separately to stop further charges.
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3, modern ciphers) for all traffic between your device and our servers. Account credentials and access tokens are stored using platform secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain).
However, no online service can be guaranteed 100% secure. We work continuously to harden our infrastructure.
Watt VPN is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Our servers are operated in multiple countries. By using the App you consent to processing of the limited account data described above in those jurisdictions.
We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
